    Dina's Bio:
Whether I am helping a student take the next step after college, facilitating a career workshop or organizing group runs through the trails over the noon hour, I am always working, playing and living well in the great north woods. I came to Duluth and St. Scholastica four years ago. I adore the big city life and still love playing in it, but most of the time I am enjoying the woods and all the beautiful things northern Minnesota has to offer. Job fair season has arrived!

Hello job fair season. Career Services is skittering around helping students get registered and prepared for the upcoming job fairs. All the fun begins tomorrow with the Head of the Lakes event at the University of Wisconsin-Superior (this fair is held at University of Minnesota-Duluth every fall.) There will be approximately 70 employers actively recruiting students for internships and full-time employment opportunities.

Next week the BIG  MN Private Colleges Job & Internship Fair is taking place at the Minneapolis Convention Center. Of all the fairs and events we host this one is probably my favorite. I love the energy of the employers, students and colleges. There will be close to 200 employers vying for an opportunity to chat internships and jobs with our Saints. This event is exclusive to current students only (no alumni) and I consider it the chance-of-a-lifetime. Rarely will job seekers get this sort of attention from recruiters after graduation.

This year Student Senate (thank you!) has graciously granted the School of Business & Technology student ambassadors funding for a bus. I will be riding the bus too…helping with last minute career fair stuff…like stomach butterflies and nervous knots.:)

We are doing everything we can to assist students with resumes, networking skills, professional dress, the 15-second pitch and more.

P.S. Hang with us at the fair via social media. I’ll be posting and tweeting job fair tips and updates throughout the day!
