Book Review vs. Book Report

Usually when asked to read a school related book, students are asked to write a book report. The report is to be a summary of the key points or events that took place throughout the book. For one of my classes I am currently working on a book review rather than a book report. In this review I am not just to summarize what the “Book of Joy” is about , but rather analyze the message the writer was trying to convey and write down my reactions to it. So far I have enjoyed getting to read more about the Dalai Lama and Archbishop Desmond Tutu.
