    Courtney's Bio:
I'm an Elementary Education major at CSS. I also plan to minor in Spanish. Having done PSEO, I came to CSS with more than 60 credits. I'm part of Volunteers Involved Through Action (VITA), Students Today Leaders Forever (STLF), and other clubs! Dance has been part of my life for 10 years, and now I'm trying to fit it into my schedule again. I love spending time watching Supernatural and Once Upon a Time, and reading Harry Potter and other great books. I live in a suite with 3 other girls, and we are always finding something fun to do around campus!

Working Ahead

This semester I have gotten really great at working ahead. A lot of my classes have posted the homework right away, so I’m aware of my course load for the rest of the semester. This has allowed me to work ahead in huge chunks. Because I actually know homework so far ahead of time, it’s been way easier to make time for it. With my crazy packed busy life, I can sit down for a weekend and pump out a lot of assignments, compared to struggling to do three things that are due the next day or at midnight. This has allowed me to be less stressed, as well as more prepared for class. I get to take the time to understand fully the material I’m working with. When I’m working on homework for Math Methods ahead of schedule, I’m able to apply the techniques and material sooner to what I’m teaching in field, which is 100% awesome. Friday night I was able to go to the movies with my roommates instead of doing homework due at midnight. When I sat down to my Friday night homework, I was absolutely shocked that I had worked so far ahead, that I had already submitted the assignment… February 21st. Seriously? So tonight, Wednesday, and this weekend are going to be jampacked with homework one last time… I can do this. Then hello to a few little final projects and studying for exams and I will be DONE.
