    Courtney's Bio:
I'm an Elementary Education major at CSS. I also plan to minor in Spanish. Having done PSEO, I came to CSS with more than 60 credits. I'm part of Volunteers Involved Through Action (VITA), Students Today Leaders Forever (STLF), and other clubs! Dance has been part of my life for 10 years, and now I'm trying to fit it into my schedule again. I love spending time watching Supernatural and Once Upon a Time, and reading Harry Potter and other great books. I live in a suite with 3 other girls, and we are always finding something fun to do around campus!

Weekends in Canal

On Friday, I worked until 6 pm. I helped a little at the Lowell carnival, but after I got a text message from my roommates asking me to join them downtown, I jumped to it. I hopped in my car and gunned it down to Canal Park for dinner. I met them at Old Chicago – which was packed – and we had a great roomie dinner. They had gone walking around the lakewalk earlier and when I was down there, the weather was still nice enough that I only needed my hoodie I was wearing. Yesterday, after my roommate and I spent the morning in Canal Park Caribou Coffee, we grabbed an early dinner at Vita Pizza, which is right next door. It’s one of our favorite unique Duluth restaurants, with brick oven Neapolitan pizza. It was so sunny and warm we sat outside. As it warms up in Duluth, everyone takes the opportunity to go to Canal Park. My Facebook feed was filled of nothing by lakewalk selfies, I’m surprised we didn’t run into more people than we did! Awesomely enough, everyone also takes the opportunity to bring their dogs to Canal as well. Duluth is a TOTAL dog city. We love our dogs. At Vitta there was 3 groups of people with dogs outside that we got to sit next to and pet while waiting for our food. What an awesome afternoon, rewarding us for getting stuff done. I can’t wait to spend more time in the summer here and seeing more dogs *daydreams about the fluffballs*.
