    Courtney's Bio:
I'm an Elementary Education major at CSS. I also plan to minor in Spanish. Having done PSEO, I came to CSS with more than 60 credits. I'm part of Volunteers Involved Through Action (VITA), Students Today Leaders Forever (STLF), and other clubs! Dance has been part of my life for 10 years, and now I'm trying to fit it into my schedule again. I love spending time watching Supernatural and Once Upon a Time, and reading Harry Potter and other great books. I live in a suite with 3 other girls, and we are always finding something fun to do around campus!

Submitting my Work Schedule

Today I sent my work supervisor my work schedule for fall semester! I am so excited to be back working for K.E.Y. Zone. I will be working at the same site as last year and this year, I’ll be introducing a dance club! I get to choregraph and teach K-2nd graders a fun dance or two. Fun Fact: although I work for K.E.Y. Zone, I am actually paid through CSS as a work study student! Many different work study jobs are available for students on AND off campus. There’s jobs at Animal Allies as well if you’re interested in being an adoption assistant. Even more fun fact (for me at least), as a work study student, I get paid more for the position than if I worked straight through with the Y. Or at least I did last year, not sure about how it’ll work now that minimum wage is increasing. Freshman can only work 10 hours a week, but upperclassman can work up to 20. I’ll be sticking to around 10 though, just to keep my sanity the last semester before I student teach. Here’s to another work year!
