Library Overdue Fees

I love books. I really do. I love reading and I have spent many days and many Friday nights just reading. I have a friend dates where we go somewhere to read. I love collecting old time children’s books. But I am a terrible book reader simply because I never return my library books on time! I really try, but it’s some part of my procrastinating side that always manages to only turn them in the day they are due or a day late. Over the past year, I checked out books during break times and spent most of the time home. That being said, when the due dates came around, I never thought about renewing my books. I just was like “Oh well, they will be a day late.” Now I’m paying the price (literally) because I have to constantly check out books for my education classes, and I’m constantly reminded my the library staff I have over $10 in fees. Yikes. How the heck did that add up so quickly? So I finally remembered to bring cash yesterday to pay off my fees and it makes me feel so much better. What a good library borrower I will hopefuly become!
