    Courtney's Bio:
I'm an Elementary Education major at CSS. I also plan to minor in Spanish. Having done PSEO, I came to CSS with more than 60 credits. I'm part of Volunteers Involved Through Action (VITA), Students Today Leaders Forever (STLF), and other clubs! Dance has been part of my life for 10 years, and now I'm trying to fit it into my schedule again. I love spending time watching Supernatural and Once Upon a Time, and reading Harry Potter and other great books. I live in a suite with 3 other girls, and we are always finding something fun to do around campus!

Laundry Frustrations

I am here to complain about the new, “working” laundry machines. Since forever  ago, laundry machines on campus were a reliable broke-down set of machines.  They were kind of like those old cars that have little kinks in them, but you know exactly how to work them anyway. We had names on each machine so we could call in and say which ones weren’t working, in addition to having “Out of Order” signs we could put up if  we noticed a broken one. This summer, they replaced them with all these new, digital laundry machines. They suck! I hate them. There is no option for cold, warm, or hot water. Just “whites” and “colors” and “permanent press”. I can obviously sort out my colors if I need to, what I can’t do myself is make the water cold or hot, that the washing machine’s buttons job! Also, there’s been two or three that leaves your clothes sopping wet. Like, I-was-at-a-waterpark-and-had-a-big-bucket-of-what-dumped-on-me wet. If I get stuck using one of those washers accidentally, I have to squeegee out the water from ever single clothing item. A few days ago, the washing machine locked itself so even though the cycle was done, I couldn’t get my bedding! Then of course it was sopping wet. I had to toss it in the dryer for two cycles. I left overnight thinking it’d be dry and fine, but one of the dryers never worked so my bedding was soaking overnight! So fed up.
