I Passed my MTLEs!
I just got back from passing my MTLEs! Wooh! The MTLEs are the Minnesota Teacher Licensure Exams. We have to take basic exams (like the ACT), pedagogy, and content (math, reading, science, art, etc.). I took the final exams, the content ones, this morning in Hermantown. I was kind of nervous for the reading portion because it is usually suggested to take it after you have taken Reading Methods, which I’m in right now. Luckily, the trickiest things we just covered in class Tuesday! I am so fortunate that I scheduled my test when I did. Now that I have passed the MTLEs, I can now student teach. After this, I just need to create my edTPA during student teaching and I will have passed all the big requirements of teaching licensure! Oh besides graduating of course.
