    Courtney's Bio:
I'm an Elementary Education major at CSS. I also plan to minor in Spanish. Having done PSEO, I came to CSS with more than 60 credits. I'm part of Volunteers Involved Through Action (VITA), Students Today Leaders Forever (STLF), and other clubs! Dance has been part of my life for 10 years, and now I'm trying to fit it into my schedule again. I love spending time watching Supernatural and Once Upon a Time, and reading Harry Potter and other great books. I live in a suite with 3 other girls, and we are always finding something fun to do around campus!

I Got a Job!

This is very late news, but I got a job! I will be teaching 1st grade at DaVinci Academy of Arts & Science, starting this August. I was offered this position a few days after I interviewed (this was the school I interviewed at and was an hour late, due to a flat tire). I found out about the position through the Minnesota Education Job Fair and applied for a pre-select interview. I was then offered a second interview and after that… I was offered the job! DaVinci is a charter school in the cities. I feel very fortunate to receive an offer to teach 1st grade, because that wasn’t even originally available! I thought I was applying for 2nd grade. Additionally, my school highly values the arts, so I get to incorporate my love for art into my classroom. There will also be intersession days where I get to focus on teaching an art topic!

I couldn’t have gotten the job without the great word of my professors recommending me, the Career Center for looking over my job materials, oh and my dad for driving me to the interview after I got a flat tire!
