    Courtney's Bio:
I'm an Elementary Education major at CSS. I also plan to minor in Spanish. Having done PSEO, I came to CSS with more than 60 credits. I'm part of Volunteers Involved Through Action (VITA), Students Today Leaders Forever (STLF), and other clubs! Dance has been part of my life for 10 years, and now I'm trying to fit it into my schedule again. I love spending time watching Supernatural and Once Upon a Time, and reading Harry Potter and other great books. I live in a suite with 3 other girls, and we are always finding something fun to do around campus!

Home Away From Home

Being back home in Cambridge, everything seems so far away. Yes, I have my friends with me, but there’s not much for us to do. The nearest place to shop for anything is 45 minutes away, every other activity is roughly 30 minutes away or farther. I’ve already read 5 books, drove to Taylor’s Falls, drove to the cities, cleaned, crafted, and quilted. In Duluth, everything is so close by. I can get anywhere in 20 minutes. Down the hill, Hermantown, West Duluth, Lakeside, Congdon, you name it, it’s close! In Duluth, I can go laser tagging, roller skating, shopping, down by the lake, visiting vintage stores, volunteering, going to an Art Institute, eat Indian food, pizza, diner food…. Ugh I miss Duluth! There are so many ammenities in Duluth, I could consider living there permanently and starting my future family there. I can’t wait til I go back for Upward Bound and taking on the town again.
