Haunted Scholastica?
Last night, I took a bunch of my UB students for a walk in the woods (on the trails!). The goal was to end up near the statue we call “Scary Mary”. It is a statue of Jesus that there are many scary tales about, such as it disappears sometimes! Often during freshman orientations, leaders will take freshman there at night to scare them. Unfortunately, it wasn’t quite dark yet and when we got there, my students said, “really? This is it? We go past this all the time in our classes!” Ouch. Okay, so plan ruined. However, we came back to the lounge and had one of the older Team Leaders tell (and also exaggerate) some of the ghost stories of campus. Even my roommate and I couldn’t sleep last night!
