Community Day!
I just got done with Community Day! Community Day is an event that Scholastica created that occurs in the fall and the spring. Today, there are no classes and everyone volunteers instead. Dignitas classes volunteer together. In the fall, we were supposed to hep out at a nature center, but many volunteer opportunities were canceled because of down-pouring rain. For the spring, we all focus on Thanksgiving in the Spring, which is Scholastica delivering Thanksgiving-style meals to less fortunate people. I went to GDR at 8 this morning to help pack meals, which we then delivered with my Dignitas professor. I’m realizing that it’s hard to make connections in class, but the outside moments with my classmates truly are bonding!
