Day 2 of PIFT
Our morning started getting ready for Boys and Girls Club Easter activities. We helped stuffed Easter eggs and did stations with the kids. We helped with a egg hunt, played in the gym, and played Duck Duck Goose. We also had a pizza party at the end!
After the Boys and Girls Club, we left Joliet and took off for Shelbyville, Kentucky. It was supposed to be a straight 5 hour drive, but we got caught up in backed up traffic. It took us an hour to get through 25 miles!!!!!! It was insane. I spent that time braiding people’s hair, watching a movie, and getting to know our fun bus driver. I am a bus core member, organizing the trip, so it’s part of my job to solve time problems like this. We stayed at a church in Shelbyville, Kentucky and had a spaghetti dinner that night. We got to bed late because of the time change, but it was great to fall asleep.
