    Courtney's Bio:
I'm an Elementary Education major at CSS. I also plan to minor in Spanish. Having done PSEO, I came to CSS with more than 60 credits. I'm part of Volunteers Involved Through Action (VITA), Students Today Leaders Forever (STLF), and other clubs! Dance has been part of my life for 10 years, and now I'm trying to fit it into my schedule again. I love spending time watching Supernatural and Once Upon a Time, and reading Harry Potter and other great books. I live in a suite with 3 other girls, and we are always finding something fun to do around campus!

2 Weeks of Summer Already?

Apparently today is Thursday (who would’ve known, not me), which means it’s been two weeks since school ended. What have I done? Well… Nothing much… When you come home from college during any holiday break, you can break into your old habits very fast. So when I came home, I started staying up until I couldn’t keep my eyes open, only to wake up by 11 or so the next day. At first, my parents thought I definitely deserved some rest. However now, they are starting to get really crabby. The summer after your freshman year tends to be very carefree; you want to catch up with hometown friends and be as lazy as possible. After your second year of college, something changes. You may have a few weeks (or some times even days) to just relax and be peaceful, but most of it is spent working or whatever that books up the majority of your time, whether it be interning, studying abroad, etc. Some of your friends, or maybe even you, will stay in your college town over the summer, really limiting getting to bond with hometown friends. Some of my best friends are in other states, while the others are working a lot. Starting Monday, my summer course begins. A week after that I move in for Upward Bound, and then after UB ends I’ll be going to California. All on top of finding time to relax. Life eh?
