    Caitlin's Bio:
I’m an Advertising/Public Relations major with a concentration in production and design. I’m also minoring in management and marketing. I’m a social media assistant here at the College and love every second of it. Not only does it involve hands on experience in my major, but sets a great foundation for my future. I love to go out in Duluth and spend a lot time with some of my best friends and family. St. Scholastica has made such a huge impact on my life and I wouldn’t trade it for anything!

I’ve learned a very valuable thing throughout the past few years and it’s having patience. Sometimes it’ll feel like everything is a struggle and it won’t slow down. You’ll feel the pressure of balancing school, friends, relationships, family, and free time. It gets difficult at times. You’ll get used to counting on people and then never hearing from them again. You’ll learn to have back up plans. You’ll learn patience.

I had all that pressure at the beginning of this school year. You’ll quickly learn that by surrounding yourself with the right people, you’ll get through it in no time. It’s very easy to meet great people here, which is one reason why I love Scholastica. Starting my senior year I was coming out of a 2 year relationship, dog problems, typical beginning of school stress, and the struggle to find an internship. I never found one and I had been panicking about it this whole semester. Today, somehow, everything completely turned around. I ended up getting a perfect on an essay and I never expected that, I ended my day with an internship for next semester that I’m so happy and excited for, and I got through yet another presentation. The relief couldn’t be more noticeable. Patience is key to everything you do and it’ll all work out. It’s something you NEED to learn throughout school because it leaves you with better and satisfying results. It’s important to stay distracted with your friends when things just aren’t the best and eventually you can enjoy everything there is to enjoy!
