    Caitlin's Bio:
I’m an Advertising/Public Relations major with a concentration in production and design. I’m also minoring in management and marketing. I’m a social media assistant here at the College and love every second of it. Not only does it involve hands on experience in my major, but sets a great foundation for my future. I love to go out in Duluth and spend a lot time with some of my best friends and family. St. Scholastica has made such a huge impact on my life and I wouldn’t trade it for anything!

In With the New

It’s that time where I say goodbye to my laptop of three years. It’s been through a lot and for an HP I’m pretty impressed. Last year, I got a pretty large amount of water damage in my laptop, along with bits of rice that sounded like popcorn. Along with that, I have dropped it numerous times. Also, I swear it happened every single time in front of my mom. Why is it that when you drop your phone, computer, any sort of technology, your parents are ALWAYS there? Then you’re basically shamed for life. “Well Caitlin, that’s why your phone doesn’t work anymore.”

Lucky for me, I planned on getting a new a laptop after graduation. Overall, Macs are better for what I use a laptop for. But since I have already had two during my time in school, I wanted to wait to make number three be after school. Since I have been planning on getting one, I had already known where the money would come from. I had money saved up that I planned on using for either rent, towards a car, or a new laptop. Since my other laptop is basically toast this was what I had to spend it on.

The transition from an HP to a Mac is so bizarre. Also, transferring everything is time consuming, but I’m getting a little bit more used to this one and I can see it is going to be SO much better than my old laptop.

Oh, and take advantage of this snow day. I’m going to the North Shore this weekend, so hopefully the weather is okay!
