    Caitlin's Bio:
I’m an Advertising/Public Relations major with a concentration in production and design. I’m also minoring in management and marketing. I’m a social media assistant here at the College and love every second of it. Not only does it involve hands on experience in my major, but sets a great foundation for my future. I love to go out in Duluth and spend a lot time with some of my best friends and family. St. Scholastica has made such a huge impact on my life and I wouldn’t trade it for anything!

Around and around…

…and around the school some more. The majority of the first part of my day consisted of running from building to building. To start off, I had both of my classes which went as normal. At 2 pm, my group for one of my classes had to go interview someone for our final project. It was actually my adviser and we talked about why they got rid of the APR major. It’s kind of a long story if you weren’t here for the action, but my class will be the last group to be officially graduating as Advertising/Public Relations. They actually got rid of my major awhile ago, but it was still a major my freshman year so I was grandfathered in so I could graduate as APR. The APR major has now been replaced with Media Relations. I actually wish my major had been more focused on the new courses and the criteria they have now included. Since they got rid of my major, I definitely became very marketing orientated. On paper I’ll be Advertising/Public Relations, but most of my experience is in marketing. So if you are interested in this area and you are searching online, the old information for PR will show up, but you actually want to look into Media Relations. Anywaaays now that I’ve rambled, that was what we covered when we met with her. After that I stopped in to do some internship paper work and got that rolling. I have almost everything complete for the internship and I just need to get some stuff signed! I just now was able to eat since I was on the go nonstop today! It was very productive though :).
