Hello hello, my name is Chey! I fully admit that I am an over achiever and a slacker simultaneously. I am really involved in social justice on campus, especially the Indigenous Student Alliance. Theater

This semester I am working very diligently as the Stage Manager with the Theater. Scholastica is a wonderful place where anyone can get involved with choir, art, and theater! This production is a winter play so it counts as a spring course but a lot of work is required in the Fall. I am so thankful for my fine arts outlet. It truly keeps me even keeled and focused. No matter how stressful or tiring a day is I get to end it with my theater family.

Theater isn’t just an extracurricular or a hobby. It’s something I’m passionate about. One of the biggest perks of being involved in theater is that there is a community built among the cast and crew. I am very fortunate to have a wonderful director and assistant director that value each person’s input and ideas. Having a community and a creative outlet is what makes life as a double major much more enjoyable.

Keep your ear to the ground for showing times of The Miss Firecracker Contest in February!
