Crooked Pint
A fresh new shopping and apartment complex has recently been finished at the corner of Kenwood and Arrowhead. This makes the location easily walkable from campus. It also happens to be right on the bus line.
Yesterday my roommate and I grabbed an early dinner at The Crooked Pint.
I’m not much for pub style restaurants, a lot of times it feels as though the food is an after thought. However, I was pleasantly surprised!
The selection of food was new and exciting. There was a good list of Lucy’s (cheese stuffed hamburgers) and a few variations of tacos. I was also excited to see pot pies on the menu. The drink menu sported quite a few local breweries, so if you enjoy local brews this would be a great place to go.
I ordered a Cherry Moscow Mule and a Swiss and mushroom burger. The drink was delectable and the burger was juicy and well seasoned, no extra condiments were needed. I had a side of mashed potatoes and they were amazing, clearly made from scratch.
The service was fast and the ambiance was upbeat and enjoyable.
Overall I’d give it a full 5 stars! This would be a great place to grab a few drinks and a meal with friends after a hard day of studying or adventure.
