Independent Project
One of the psychology courses I am taking this semester is an independent study. The topic is Social, Cognitive and Affective Neuroscience—a modern niche in psychology the standard curriculum doesn’t cover. As the name suggests, the class requires me to independently investigate the topic and write a report summarizing my findings. The length of the report depends on the credits for which one takes the class, which in my case is two, and thus, 7-10 pages. It is sometimes difficult to have the discipline to work on this regularly with deadlines for my other classes approaching and passing by, but it is certainly beneficial to be disciplined. The arbitrary deadline I set with my advisor for my draft is the week after break, so I look forward to finishing up my draft during the break!
