First Philosophy Club Meeting
Yesterday October 9th, Philosophy Club hosted its first meeting of the year! We started up the semester with the broadest theme possible: life and death. “Is it ‘the fear of dying [or] the desire to live that keeps the fool attached to his body’?”
Every meeting, we start the discussion with a generic question such as that. Conversation revolves around that question, but the meeting itself is, in fact, quite informal. No one is expected to have any philosophical background, and we don’t focus on naming Philosophers or theories–although they are certainly welcome. Instead, we simply encourage free thinking and genuine conversation about matters that affect all of us!
