    Conrado's Bio:
Born and raised in urban Madrid, lived in rural northern California and ended up in snowy suburban Minnesota. During the school year you'll find me firmly entrenched in a routine designed to develop my Psychology research skills, and during the summer you will probably not find me at all; in my free time, I enjoy going on trekking trips in the backcountry, adventuring through recondite countries and most importantly spending time with my family.

Easter Break Adventure

One of the perks of going to a Catholic school, is that you get an outstandingly long Easter break! This year, taking advantage of the warm weather, we went on a little camping adventure by one of Minnesota’s thousand (and something) lakes. I packed all my gear (including the tent I recently bought from Outdoor Pursuit in their last gear sale), and headed to the country side. We took the public bus, and then hiked to our camp site; it is quite convenient to have free public transportation in the Duluth area (courtesy of CSS)—we were able to just hike to our campsite from the end of the line!

In our day there we walked on the ice covering the ground between a little island and the edge of the lake (yes, surprisingly, despite the 17 degrees Celsius weather, there was still a thick layer covering a large portion of it), failed to make a sled to go on the ice, and frolicked in the forest instead. A good life indeed.
