Night Biking
Not Entirely Related, but it’s a cool night shot from New Orleans.
Sorry I’ve been distant it’s been busy with Team Delta. Last night I got the chance to bike from CSS to Campus Park at midnight. It was liberating. Nothing but the streetlights lighting the road. There is something different about biking at night than running or walking. It’s as if the wheels turn you into the streets, into the asphalt. Running or walking has more separation to it, and at night there is already so much separation – between solid objects and you, between people.
It’s the feeling of moving into a new place, or a new room, or a new house. The sense of ownership is magnified because the space is magnified, and Duluth is a beautiful space to feel ownership over.
