Getting Ready for School

Monday, January 8th, 2018

Well, school is starting up soon again, which means that it is time for me to start looking at the books I might need to buy this semester. I also don’t really know what my schedule is yet so that would also probably be good to know. I’m starting to look forward to going back to school because there is only so much that I can keep doing here at home. I’ve worked for my dad’s company a couple of days, but when I’m not at work, I’m just sitting around at home. My hometown is small so there really isn’t a lot to do around here. And if I were to go anywhere else it would just cost me time and money, which I don’t really have a lot of the latter after Christmas. School will get me back in the groove of straightening out my life again. Plus I’m excited to see my friends again!!!

International Students

Wednesday, November 22nd, 2017

At Scholastica we have tons of International Students from England, Canada, Italy, South America, and honestly I don’t even know where else.  I know that there are tons of people from different places around the world, and I think that’s really cool that our school is so diverse.  I know that I went on a tour at CSS, they mentioned the fact that our students are very diverse in races, religions, cultures, origins, and everything like that.  I was surprised to hear that small town CSS on the hill of Duluth in Northern Minnesota that there would be so much recruitment from other places.  I was thinking about it today because of Thanksgiving Break and the fact that a lot of them probably don’t get to go home over break.  They usually end up being stuck at school, which is unfortunate.
