That’s all folks! #Endgame

Thursday, May 9th, 2019

This is post #575! Yes, I have written a total of five hundred and seventy-five posts (inclusive of this post) on this site! I feel like Tony Stark, uncertain about the future and longing for the past (the good things only), recording messages for Pepper in Avengers Endgame. It would be nice to say “I am Iron Man”!

Easter break

Tuesday, April 16th, 2019

Easter break starts after classes tomorrow and I personally could not welcome this break more. Not so much as I am religious but more in the fact that I do not have to think about school for almost a week. I recently got a car but there were so many other ways to find rides home if I needed it. There is a Jefferson bus line that runs at least twice daily from UMD, a ride share Facebook page from a lot of UMD students mixed with CSS, LSC and UWS students as well as in our own student community emails. People will often send out a want for help getting back to their home town.

New Blogger!

Saturday, March 2nd, 2019

As a new blogger, I would like to prelude future entries with some information about my personal involvement on campus. In addition to writing, I currently direct the Philosophy Club and act as the vice-president for Global Cultural Association; work as a Job Skills Assistant at Career Services and as a Teacher’s Assistant for the Psychology department, and I am looking forward to become more involved in some of the Psychology Research Labs that are starting to gain momentum on campus. This may sound like a mouthful, but the synergic club environment, open professors and spirited student community have—in my experience—transformed these seemingly daunting responsibilities into engaging, animating activities. Through this blog I hope to capture the highlights of my perspective as a student at The College of St. Scholastica, so it is likely the bulk of my writing will revolve around these interests!

Plight of the Edmund Fitzgerald

Wednesday, November 14th, 2018

Last weekend was a very important weekend at Split Rock Lighthouse State Park which houses Split Rock lighthouse. Each year, there is a commemoration for the 29 lives lost upon the Edmund Fitzgerald on the 10th of November 1975. A year later a famous song was released about the sinking of the Edmund Fitzgerald. It sunk due to a late November storm on the lake and all lives aboard were lost.

Hey y’all! Late night blog post, mostly because I have been so busy and forgot that I should probably get one of my last blogs in!! Tomorrow is commencement and then I’m moving out on Sunday so it will be a busy weekend for me! Commencement occurs at the DECC down in canal and will be at 2pm. It’s first come, first serve for seating, but there is obviously enough seating in the whole place for everyone. It will be an eventful day with picture taking and hanging out with family and friends. Then, like I said, Sunday I am moving out. My family will be coming up again to help me so that will be good. Also, I’m mostly packed, so hopefully everything goes smoothly! Happy Graduation Seniors!!!
