    Brandon's Bio:
My major is on the left, but it’s taken me six major changes, two minor changes and three graduate-track changes to get there. I’m from a small farming town west of the Twin Cities and came to Duluth for the city and stayed for the school. I work at the Burns Wellness Center at the front desk and have pretty much the best job in the world. I like to take any opportunity thrown at me, and since coming here I’ve been thrown plenty. Life’s an adventure, and so is CSS!

More unique places to eat in Duluth!

So Jesse’s post inspired me to point out a few more excellent places to eat in Duluth that you wouldn’t really know about without being told if you feel like escaping the generic Fitger’s/Grandma’s related businesses.

The first is Clyde Iron Works. If you find the courage to venture out to west Duluth, you’ll find this gem right on 29th and Michigan. It’s less than a year old, but it really is a must-go place. It was actually an old factory that they renovated into a restaurant and music venue. My freshman year they hosted Tech N9ne within a short while after their grand opening. The food is reasonably-priced and deeeeelicious. My recommendation would be the chicken, bacon and avocado sandwich. It’s off the menu, so you need to ask for it!

The second would be Uncle Louis Cafe on 4th and Central Entrance. It’s the perfect place to get your fix of old-fashioned food, and they serve breakfast all day long. Definitely a must-go.

The third would be Sara’s Table on 8th and 19th in East HIllside. They specialize in organic food and their food is fantastic! Check out their outdoor patio, because it boasts a really neat view of Lake Superior.

The fourth I would recommend has to be Big Daddy’s Burgers right on Piedmont Avenue. Their burgers are to die for, and are the best I’ve found in the twin-ports area. Just don’t feel ashamed to splurge when you go!
