    Bailey's Bio:
I am an Advertising and Public Relations major, minoring in Management and English. I grew up in Duluth and love the city, so I figured why not go to a college here? Lucky for me Duluth has The College of St. Scholastica. I enjoy the small campus size and the many great friends I have made throughout my three years here. The highlight of my time at CSS has been participating in the Ireland study abroad program. Im looking forward to my senior year and all the opportunities it may present.

Julia Roberts visits Scholastica’s second home of Louisburgh, Ireland!?

Today I was randomly looking up news from County Mayo and Louisburgh, the county and town that I went to last Spring for Scholastica’s Ireland Study Abroad Program.  I ran across an article titled “Julia Roberts Exploring West Mayo with her Children”. Obviously I clicked on the link to read more about it and was excited to see that I knew where some of the places she visited were and even visited some of them regularly. The most exciting comment was that she was seen in Durkan’s Gala (a grocery store and sandwich shop). I probably visited this store at least once a day.  While there, we became good friends with James, whose family owns the store and he also works there.  James has been working in The States for the past few months and is apparently pretty upset that he missed seeing this star in his store.  It is still exciting to see that Julia Roberts visited this tiny little town of 300 people, that nobody in Ireland even knows about, and to say that she shops where I shop.
