Why I chose Scholastica

I remember when I was a senior in high school and applying to colleges. I was that type of kid who applied to a whole bunch of colleges just to apply. My top reasons for an instsituon I wanted to attend was distance, affordability, and the community. I live in Minneapolis Minnesota and wanted to go somewhere completely different but not too far. I wanted to be much more independent by going somewhere far from home but still being able to drive back and forth within a day in case of an emergency at home. Affordability was huge for me. St. Scholastica is a private institution but offer many scholarships for students. I also found a strong warm welcoming community at scholastica which enhances my student life experience. There was no way I would of gone to a campus where I would not fee comfortable. I just wouldn’t be able to learn academically and socially. These pst 3 years have been the best years of my life!
