art class

Last night was the last day of Art Class! This semester I decided to finish off my art general education with Life Drawing, which is a two-credit course held for the first term of spring semester. The course is 8 weeks long every Tuesday evenings from 5 pm to 8:30 pm. Student of all majors takes the course. We focused in drawing the human skeletal and the full human body. Over the course, we drew models, our classmate’s faces, a skeleton, and a famous photograph. For our assignments, we were required to turn in 14 drawings of either hand or feet. These two body parts are amongst the most difficult to draw and practicing solely on those two body parts were beneficial. In addition, we turned in a self-portrait as our final project. I drew my self with my favorite soccer team. I spent about six to seven hours on it. I really enjoyed it and the how it turned out. I am happy to see myself improve my drawing skills after this course. I am a beginner and all I knew was to draw stick figures. I am not comfortable drawing the human body.
