    Amanda's Bio:
I grew up in the Twin Cities, but now live up in Ely, MN near the BWCA, where my family has been for the last 7 years. I have three brothers, who I adore, and I enjoy fishing, playing basketball, and rough housing with them whenever I can. My mom has been a daycare provider since I was born, which served as inspiration for me to pursue a degree in Elementary education. I also love to paint, draw, and DANCE! I have been dancing for twenty years and am a dance instructor in Superior, WI....I can't imagine a life without it!

This Blogger’s Outlook on the Timberwolves

Despite the season’s late start, the NBA is back in full swing and showing fans that this year is bound to be an entertaining one.  For the Minnesota Timberwolves, the year has been a very highly anticipated one for both fans and players alike.  Much of the team this year are newcomers, but each player seems to be a welcome addition to the rather unexciting lineup from last year.

The key three to look for this year (and the obvious favorites among fans) seem to be Rubio, Love, and Beasley.  The trio work dynamically on the court and are exciting to watch, truly engaging the crowd (a welcome change from the past couple of years).  To me, I am reminded of the once great working Wolves trio that was Kevin Garnett, Latrell Sprewell, and Sam Cassell from several years back.  These three always got the crowd going and were incredible together.  However, what makes our new trio of players so much more exciting is the fact that they are all so young and still learning.  Imagine how much more amazing they will be as they continue to work together and grow in the association?  It will be insane!

Personally, and I believe that many Minnesotans will agree with me on this one, I feel that Rubio will be the player to particularly scope for the season.  A former basketball player from Spain, Ricky is seriously making a face for himself with his risky 3 point jump shots and slick passes.  He is developing quickly as a serious NBA player and is already a fan favorite.

The season promises to be an interesting one, and with these young guys on the forefront, it should be an exciting one to watch, as well!
