    Amanda's Bio:
I grew up in the Twin Cities, but now live up in Ely, MN near the BWCA, where my family has been for the last 7 years. I have three brothers, who I adore, and I enjoy fishing, playing basketball, and rough housing with them whenever I can. My mom has been a daycare provider since I was born, which served as inspiration for me to pursue a degree in Elementary education. I also love to paint, draw, and DANCE! I have been dancing for twenty years and am a dance instructor in Superior, WI....I can't imagine a life without it!

Summer Bucket!

Today marks the official start of summer for me!  So excited!  It is such a relief to be done with finals and to move on to more pressing matters….work.  However, summer is truly much more than just working and saving for the upcoming year.  It should be your time to get outside, enjoy the sun, and do things that you don’t normally get a chance to do.  You’re in college, it only happens once!  Here is your summer bucket list!

  1. Have a water balloon fight
  2. Spray each of your friends with a water gun fully clothed
  3. Have a beach volleyball tournament
  4. BBQ on the lawn. Invite random people you see walking by to join you
  5. Choose a summer 2012 song and play it all summer….then never again
  6. Go camping in the woods, complete with campfire cooking
  7. Go fishing!  Lots!!
  8. Read a GOOD book…textbooks are not allowed
  9. Go to an outdoor concert….do not behave
  10. Choose a summer drink favorite and enjoy frequently
  11. Plan a picnic outside
  12. Watch clouds and decide what they look like…then paint them 🙂
  13. Throw a themed pool party
  14. Take a helicopter ride
  15. Spend an entire day garage saling. Buy lots of useless stuff
  16. Go to Chuck E Cheese and be a kid
  17. Have a themed dinner night with your closest friends…or just  dress up and go out
  18. Take part in a car wash…your own or someone else’s
  19. Make Dandelion or Strawberry wine
  20. Introduce yourself to a complete stranger…who knows where it could go?
