I grew up in the Twin Cities, but now live up in Ely, MN near the BWCA, where my family has been for the last 7 years. I have three brothers, who I adore, and I enjoy fishing, playing basketball, and rough housing with them whenever I can. My mom has been a daycare provider since I was born, which served as inspiration for me to pursue a degree in Elementary education. I also love to paint, draw, and DANCE! I have been dancing for twenty years and am a dance instructor in Superior, WI....I can't imagine a life without it!

Merrrr. More Sleep Please

Do you ever have those nights when you just toss and turn in your bed, thinking about the most meaningless of things and unable to fall asleep because you can’t get your mind to just shut off?  I do.  All the time.  Last night was no exception.  I went to bed around ten so that I would get a good night’s sleep before waking up at 5:30 this morning.  Nope.  Didn’t fall asleep until at least 11:30.  haha.  Grrrrrr!  So needless to say, today I am going to be a bit of a walking zombie at school, and the kids will surely take notice.  Good thing that they already love me for the most part!

I also will be getting observed by my college supervisor today.  For those of you who aren’t really sure what that means, for students entering the educational field, you must be regularly observed by a professor or professional member affiliated with the college to be evaluated on the content, delivery, and reflection of the lessons you teach.  It seems really scary in writing, but it’s actually really quite painless.  Just another little crazy hoop to jump through to get the degree, but thankfully, my CS is the bomb and just makes me laugh a lot whenever I see him.  It’s almost like a fun social session than an observation!  I just hope I can be as talkative as usual in my zombie state. haha

Have a terrific Tuesday all!
