    Amanda's Bio:
I grew up in the Twin Cities, but now live up in Ely, MN near the BWCA, where my family has been for the last 7 years. I have three brothers, who I adore, and I enjoy fishing, playing basketball, and rough housing with them whenever I can. My mom has been a daycare provider since I was born, which served as inspiration for me to pursue a degree in Elementary education. I also love to paint, draw, and DANCE! I have been dancing for twenty years and am a dance instructor in Superior, WI....I can't imagine a life without it!

Last Weekend of Freedom!

This is the last weekend of fun before the stress and pain of finals begins!  Might as well get out and enjoy the entertainment and events that are available to you before you go off on semester break.  **Cheering** haha.  Here are some awesome things going on this weekend for you to check out if you so choose:

Rock and Roll Kamikaze:
This event is celebrating its 10th Anniversary this year at Pizza Luce, featuring hoards of local bands who each get fifteen minutes to wow the crowd.  It begins at 9:30 pm on Saturday.  Admission is free and it is sure to be an amazing battle of the bands.

Holiday Gallery Stroll:
On Saturday from 11:00 am to 5:00 pm, four galleries will be displaying artwork for Christmas perusers.  Art in the Alley, Lizard’s Gallery, Blue Lake Gallery, and Waters of Superior will all be showing work (all of these galleries are located along Superior Street or Lake Ave).  Convenient and fun to check out.

UMD and Scholastica women’s hockey, UMD women’s basketball, and UMD and Scholastica women’s track and field opener!  All this weekend!

Grandmas?  Aces?  Spurs?  The day is yours!
