    Amanda's Bio:
I grew up in the Twin Cities, but now live up in Ely, MN near the BWCA, where my family has been for the last 7 years. I have three brothers, who I adore, and I enjoy fishing, playing basketball, and rough housing with them whenever I can. My mom has been a daycare provider since I was born, which served as inspiration for me to pursue a degree in Elementary education. I also love to paint, draw, and DANCE! I have been dancing for twenty years and am a dance instructor in Superior, WI....I can't imagine a life without it!

It’s Cold in the Woods!

I made it home safe last night and have been enjoying my time with my family and friends who I have been so far away from for the last couple of months.  My younger brother had a fantastic game and I got the opportunity to cheer him on to victory with his teammates.  What’s more, it was a night for seniors last night, so I got to see the basketball players and dancers who are about to graduate get special recognition.  It doesn’t seem like so long ago that I was watching them just begin high school, and now they are getting ready to enter college.  So cool!

I also had a great night hanging out with my friends last night and enjoying “girls time.”  I got to reminisce about old memories, blast some old tunes in the car, and just vent about life and what I have been stressed about.  It has been such a wonderful release!  Yet, I must say, it is absolutely FREEZING up here!  We have had negative temperatures since last night, and I have been trying my best to stay as warm as possible (mostly by running from location to location!).  I imagine it is just about as cold in Duluth, but for some reason Ely makes it feel biting during times like this.  haha.

I hope everyone has been enjoying their week and things have been going well.  We are halfway done!
