    Amanda's Bio:
I grew up in the Twin Cities, but now live up in Ely, MN near the BWCA, where my family has been for the last 7 years. I have three brothers, who I adore, and I enjoy fishing, playing basketball, and rough housing with them whenever I can. My mom has been a daycare provider since I was born, which served as inspiration for me to pursue a degree in Elementary education. I also love to paint, draw, and DANCE! I have been dancing for twenty years and am a dance instructor in Superior, WI....I can't imagine a life without it!

It’s Almost Spring and…In Like a Lion.

As the old saying goes, “In like a lion, out like a lamb.”  Today, I think Mother Nature is really showing us the power of this saying.  Just as it was starting to get warm and the snow was melting from all of the sidewalks, she steps in and gives us another 5 inches of snow! haha.  Just goes to show you that you can never get too comfortable, because the moment you do, WHAM!

It’s been a long, fun week for me at school and I cannot wait to get a break like all of you lucky spring breakers in the (hopefully) near future.  We don’t get any kind of Easter break in the elementary schools, which I know all of you Scholastica students will be enjoying the upcoming weekend in addition to your current break, but we do get a Spring recess break in about another three weeks.  Until then, I will be looking forward to it immensely to provide myself with a little “TLC” and recovery from such hard work.

The worst part, without a doubt, is hitting that point in your senior year where you just want to slide on through and quit doing everything.  We all know the feeling, we all did it in high school.  And guess what?  It doesn’t end once you’re in college.  You do it all over again!  haha.  Those  4 years really start to wear on you after a while.  The good news?  Almost done 🙂  Hope you have a great Saturday everyone.
