    Amanda's Bio:
I grew up in the Twin Cities, but now live up in Ely, MN near the BWCA, where my family has been for the last 7 years. I have three brothers, who I adore, and I enjoy fishing, playing basketball, and rough housing with them whenever I can. My mom has been a daycare provider since I was born, which served as inspiration for me to pursue a degree in Elementary education. I also love to paint, draw, and DANCE! I have been dancing for twenty years and am a dance instructor in Superior, WI....I can't imagine a life without it!

I’m Coming Home

I am sooo excited right now.  For the first time in over a month and a half, I am finally going to get to go home for the night to see my family and watch my brother dominate in some basketball!  I have been working very hard lately with my kindergartners and getting prepared to become a teacher, and I feel that I need to let myself reconnect with my roots and take a little time away from the big city and get back to the Northwoods.

Tonight it will be all about relaxing and enjoying being home!  I am going to my seventeen year old brother’s basketball game to cheer him on (which, in all honesty, he needs no cheering because he does amazing all on his own!).  Ely’s record is absolutely phenomenal right now, and I can’t wait to see how they do tonight.  Afterwards,  I will get to catch up with my close friend and do a little shopping together, which is again much needed relaxation for me.

I could not be happier that Duluth gave us teachers a little break from all of the hard work (a whole week’s worth!).  Just what I need to rejuvenate and get excited for what’s to come.  Otherwise, I might just burn myself out!
