    Amanda's Bio:
I grew up in the Twin Cities, but now live up in Ely, MN near the BWCA, where my family has been for the last 7 years. I have three brothers, who I adore, and I enjoy fishing, playing basketball, and rough housing with them whenever I can. My mom has been a daycare provider since I was born, which served as inspiration for me to pursue a degree in Elementary education. I also love to paint, draw, and DANCE! I have been dancing for twenty years and am a dance instructor in Superior, WI....I can't imagine a life without it!

Happy Friday!

Who ever decided that the quote for Fridays was TGIF?!  I don’t know about you, but I spend the majority of my Fridays working like crazy. ..until around 9…when I can finally go out and enjoy my Friday like all of the happy vacationers I serve during the day.

Today is no different.  I work a double shift serving today, from 10 AM to 2…small break…and then 4:30 to 9.  Fun?  Not exactly, but at least once the school year rolls around, I will be pretty well set up and able to relax a little.  It’s funny…you know you’re a workaholic when you find yourself saying to people, “I can’t wait for the school year to start…because then I will finally get to sleep!”  That’s pretty bad!

What other bits of relief will I get from school?  Well, let’s see…

  • Less working…(but more homework!! haha)
  • More time with friends
  • Indoor gym usage for FREE
  • Random school functions to keep everyone ridiculously entertained

It’s coming…it’s only a matter of time.
