    Amanda's Bio:
I grew up in the Twin Cities, but now live up in Ely, MN near the BWCA, where my family has been for the last 7 years. I have three brothers, who I adore, and I enjoy fishing, playing basketball, and rough housing with them whenever I can. My mom has been a daycare provider since I was born, which served as inspiration for me to pursue a degree in Elementary education. I also love to paint, draw, and DANCE! I have been dancing for twenty years and am a dance instructor in Superior, WI....I can't imagine a life without it!

Happy (Dance) Hump Day

Oh. my. goodness.  Well, after having a child throw up in class for the second time in a week and feeling the freezing effects of our weather and snow lately, I am relieved to know that today is at least the mid-point of our week.  That means seminar and the fact that I have only one more day to prepare for my dance class before I begin teaching it tomorrow night.  I haven’t been teaching at the studio I work at all year, simply due to the fact that I have been so preoccupied with student teaching.  However, one of my fellow instructors will be having a baby very soon and I am going to be temporarily taking over for her until she is back and ready to go again.  As a result, I will be juggling both planning for full time student teaching next week and starting my very first lesson with the dance girls tomorrow…which is overwhelming to say the least.  I hope (fingers crossed) that I can at least somehow figure out a way to get some choreography in tonight after teaching and seminar.  The problem is, by 6:30 at night, all I really want to do is lay on the couch and relax after being up and about for over 12 hours already.  Plus I will already have to focus on planning for my instruction, so fitting that in will be an “extra.”  haha.  But a very important extra, at that!

I hope everyone has a terrific Wednesday and that you are able to be productive…more so than me! 🙂
