    Amanda's Bio:
I grew up in the Twin Cities, but now live up in Ely, MN near the BWCA, where my family has been for the last 7 years. I have three brothers, who I adore, and I enjoy fishing, playing basketball, and rough housing with them whenever I can. My mom has been a daycare provider since I was born, which served as inspiration for me to pursue a degree in Elementary education. I also love to paint, draw, and DANCE! I have been dancing for twenty years and am a dance instructor in Superior, WI....I can't imagine a life without it!

Fun Outings for the Weekend!

Having a long week back at class?   Looking forward to the weekend already?  Aren’t we all?!  Well, not to fear.  There are lots of fun activities going on this weekend for you to check out.  So grab your roommates, hop in the car, and head out for a little fun before getting that homework started!

Denfield High School Football!- At Duluth Public Schools Stadium beginning at 7:00 pm.  What’s better than the high school home opener?  Brings back good memories…and makes me feel old…all at the same time!

Lake Superior Harvest Festival- At the Bayfront Festival Park beginning at 10:00 am.  Vendors will be featuring the wonderful crop harvest for the area, including corn, beans, squash, and fresh flowers along with tons of live music!

Wonderland Art Show- Taking Place at the Zeitgeist Arts Building at 5:30 pm.  Art from all female artists will be featured as well as live music for your enjoyment!

If none of these events really speak to you, simply go outside and DO SOMETHING!  The weather is still gorgeous and it is definitely worth taking advantage of.  Take a walk down in Canal Park and view the lake, go to the beach, sit under a tree and read, go for a run on the Lakewalk…ANYTHING!  Don’t let the rest of the beautiful summer weather pass you by.  Hope everyone has a wonderful rest of the week and a great weekend!  Welcome back to campus!
