    Amanda's Bio:
I grew up in the Twin Cities, but now live up in Ely, MN near the BWCA, where my family has been for the last 7 years. I have three brothers, who I adore, and I enjoy fishing, playing basketball, and rough housing with them whenever I can. My mom has been a daycare provider since I was born, which served as inspiration for me to pursue a degree in Elementary education. I also love to paint, draw, and DANCE! I have been dancing for twenty years and am a dance instructor in Superior, WI....I can't imagine a life without it!

First Day Back…

Uggghh.  It never fails that each and every year the very first day back at school is thoroughly exhausting.  I am definitely ready to go back home, relax, and sleep for the night!  Despite all of the long discussions of syllabi and course standards that need to be met for each of the courses I am taking, I did have a pretty wonderful day.  I was able to get through a three hour education class this morning (which is all about reading), and I actually feel that it will be a super enjoyable class.  Who doesn’t like reading children’s books and figuring out fun ways to teach small children how to read?  So cute!  I got to see my very best friends at school today, as well, which was probably the most rewarding part.  Nothing is better than being away for three months of the year and then reuniting with your closest buddies back on campus to get through all of the work to come.  With free lunch today on campus (those hot dogs were a lifesaver!), it actually turned out to be a nice day back at school.  So very hard to believe that it is my last year here, but I am thrilled that I can say that now.  It just seems to motivate me ten times more to be strong, push through this final year, and look forward to a job in the career I have been working so hard for.

Off to accomplish some work and rest!  Hope everyone else had a wonderful day back today and the motivation creeps back up!
