    Amanda's Bio:
I grew up in the Twin Cities, but now live up in Ely, MN near the BWCA, where my family has been for the last 7 years. I have three brothers, who I adore, and I enjoy fishing, playing basketball, and rough housing with them whenever I can. My mom has been a daycare provider since I was born, which served as inspiration for me to pursue a degree in Elementary education. I also love to paint, draw, and DANCE! I have been dancing for twenty years and am a dance instructor in Superior, WI....I can't imagine a life without it!

Eating “trendy” this year

Each year, a prediction for candy, savory food, and beverage top flavors are announced in an attempt to guide and steer manufacturers in the right direction to gain profit.  The predictions are based on consumer studies, surveys, and information from consumer spending.  This tells companies what types of flavors are worth a try (or worth continuing), and which ones are duds and should not be attempted.  If you are looking to be a trendy flavor consumer this year, here are the hot flavors to look for (and be seen with…!):

Sweet flavors:

Salty caramel, red velvet, strawberry jasmine, cinnamon chipotle, eucalyptus, sweet potato, and roasted coconut

This blogger’s personal favorite: Salty caramel! yum

Savory flavors:

kimchi, white truffle oil, absinthe, rose water, aged cayenne pepper, satsuma orange

Favorite: DNE…they all sound kind of unappealing to me. haha

Beverage flavors:

lemonade, aloe vera, white tea, cucumber mint, kumquat, honey ginger, and green coconut

Favorite: KUMQUAT! I don’t know how many of you have ever had one of these, but they are awesome!

Choose your favorites and dine in style!
