    Amanda's Bio:
I grew up in the Twin Cities, but now live up in Ely, MN near the BWCA, where my family has been for the last 7 years. I have three brothers, who I adore, and I enjoy fishing, playing basketball, and rough housing with them whenever I can. My mom has been a daycare provider since I was born, which served as inspiration for me to pursue a degree in Elementary education. I also love to paint, draw, and DANCE! I have been dancing for twenty years and am a dance instructor in Superior, WI....I can't imagine a life without it!

College Recollections: Day 4

Today is my day off! 🙂 Woohoo.  Tomorrow will be the last “right of passage” before getting my degree and consist of presenting my teaching portfolio to the education staff here at Scholastica.  Other than that, I am done!

I am sitting and typing this blog in the Banner Lab on the first floor of Tower Hall, which helps me to remember something else I am super grateful for since beginning school here:

All Night Computer Labs

Why would I give special recognition to this?  Here are my reasons:

  1. The countless days that I forgot to print off an assignment for class and had to rush to the lab to print it off seconds before it was due.
  2. Coming on campus at midnight to work on class assignments when my Internet went out.
  3. A place to work with friends on group projects that we could all meet at with ease.
  4. Killing hours of time inbetween inconveniently scheduled classes (mostly playing on Pinterest).
  5. Using Adobe Photoshop to complete color theory projects.
  6. Massive etc!!
