    Amanda's Bio:
I grew up in the Twin Cities, but now live up in Ely, MN near the BWCA, where my family has been for the last 7 years. I have three brothers, who I adore, and I enjoy fishing, playing basketball, and rough housing with them whenever I can. My mom has been a daycare provider since I was born, which served as inspiration for me to pursue a degree in Elementary education. I also love to paint, draw, and DANCE! I have been dancing for twenty years and am a dance instructor in Superior, WI....I can't imagine a life without it!

Boom Goes the Basketball Dynamite

Well, yesterday’s game was a huge success and I must say, my little brother brought it on the court.  He had nearly 20 points and his assists were absolutely insane.  I cannot even express how proud I am of him and his whole team from Ely.  Way to go boys!  They will be playing again in the semi finals this week on Wednesday at UMD, so if you have some free time around 6:00, I highly suggest that you go and check it out.  Ely vs Lakeview Christian Academy…it should prove to be a really tight match up.  Both teams are excellent, so it should really come down to who wants it more!

Before I get to have more fun though, I have to take care of business first.  Today I will be going out and picking up my “teacher groceries” for the week.  That will include glue sticks (all of the kids’ are absolutely destroyed…and there are no more at the school!) and will also include M & Ms.  We are doing some fun math (finding number pairs out of order) and the kiddos will get to use M & Ms to find them!  Should be a wicked fun lesson.  Just a matter of getting everything together.  I hope everyone is hanging in there despite setting the clocks ahead!  Happy Sunday!
