    Brooke's Bio:
I came to Duluth because I love the city, and this small school has a home-like feel. I play volleyball here and have other interests in listening to music, being outdoors and hanging out with friends. I like to stay active as much as I can, and I don't think I'll have any problem finding something to do in this amazing city. After graduation, I want to enroll in CSS’ Physician Assistant graduate program.

CHOICES Event

by / February 12th, 2018 / No Comments »
Tonight was yet another CHOICES Event night, called Choose Kindness with CHOICES.  It was hosted by the Volleyball and Football teams on campus.  This event was designed to focus students around random acts of kindness and simply being good people.  There were a variety of stations that were set up around Storms and the football and volleyball players helped lead each station.  It seemed to be super fun for the people who came and there was quite a large turnout!! I meant to blog before the event, but I was pretty busy running errands before this event so that everything would go smoothly.  To stay tuned with other events coming up, pay attention to student community emails and also the Saints Life Calendar!! There are tons of events hosted all the time, not just by CHOICES and those are two great ways to get involved!!!

Going Home

by / February 9th, 2018 / No Comments »

My plans for this weekend were originally supposed to involve my mom coming up for about a day and a half and bringing my super cute puppy.  I was super excited to show my friends my dog (Zoey) and how big she has gotten over the past couple of months.  As the week has gone by, almost every single one of my friends has told me that they are all going home for the weekend, so I made some last minute plans and decided to go home as well.  I figured that I would spend more time with my family and dog if I were to go home, plus none of my friends will be here anyways.  My mom told me that she will come up for a day sometime soon anyways because she would like to explore up in Duluth with me.  I'm looking forward to go home because I haven't really seen my family since Christmas Break.  I hope that everyone else has a wonderful time at home too!! (Also I hope the pic of my puppy makes your Friday even better!!) Read the rest of this entry »

The Cable

by / February 8th, 2018 / No Comments »
For those of you that attend CSS, I'm sure many of you have heard of The Cable. It's our school's newspaper article and I'm pretty sure a new one comes out every week!! They are usually placed everywhere throughout the school so one can access them easily. Personally, I like reading The Cable when I'm in Storms eating my lunch usually. The articles are written by students and some of them are quite comical sometimes too!! I have gotten emails from students who write for the newspaper asking me about CHOICES events or volleyball and things like that. It's sort of fun to get your name in the news, even if not a lot of students tend to read it. I suggest to all students to at least give it a good look through and you may get a good laugh from it!

Flat Tire

by / February 7th, 2018 / No Comments »
Well this week has been pretty stressful so far. I have a lot going on in terms of work and school. Both have been pretty time demanding and unfortunately it seems like I don't have a lot of time to spare. To top it all off, I got an extremely flat, shredded tire yesterday and have had to figure that out today. I was lucky in the sense that my dad conveniently had to come near Duluth for work today so he stopped and helped me put my spare tire on to bring my car to the shop. I just got done with that a little bit ago and now I am just going to have to wait until it's ready. I am very fortunate to have friends that are very willing to drive me to the places I need to be. I am also fortunate because I have a family friend that owns an auto body shop so they are always pretty good to me there. Crossing my fingers that I get my car back soon and that the rest of this week goes better!!!

Tuesday….

by / February 6th, 2018 / No Comments »
Tuesday's are surprisingly busy for me.  I don't have any class on these days, but I have been running around crazy all morning catching up on cleaning and laundry and homework.  Sometimes I wish that I actually had class so that it wouldn't be such a stressful day, but it is also my own fault for not getting these things done over the weekend.  I really hope these next two weeks go by fast because I have a bunch of tests and events and things going on.  Business comes in waves for me, and I really wish it were more steady because it gets to be a lot in a little amount of time.  I hope that everyone else is having a good week and does well on their first round of exams that are coming up!! Keep working hard people!!!
