Diversity and Inclusivity at CSS
St. Scholastica has been actively working to increase awareness about diversity and inclusivity on our campus. As a reaction to an event that happened last year, students of all races, ages, and levels in school banded together to create an organization called The People. Our goal and mission is to make CSS a more inclusive environment to students at the college. It also strives to educate the staff and faculty on ways that they can make their classroom a more inclusive environment as well. The organization is completely student inspired and student led. Today, we have an opportunity to meet with President Goodwin to discuss what we would like to see happen for the institution to become a more welcoming place. This is a major milestone in the college’s mission for the future of CSS, and I am proud to know such wise and active individuals who care so much about changing a place and an environment that they may never see after their time at CSS is done. This is food for thought: Why not do everything we can to change our world, even if we may never see it?

Food for thought-no pun intended
