    Alex's Bio:
Hi, I am a junior here at St. Scholastica studying Biology. I just returned from studying abroad in New Zealand. I have loved living in Duluth and attending St. Scholastica so far. After St. Scholastica I hope to go to graduate school for environmental science. When I’m not studying you can find me hanging out with my friends around campus, working at Storm’s, or anywhere outside. I try to go up the North Shore and hike around Lake Superior when I have free time.

Job Hunting

image

Now that it’s getting to the end of the year, all of us seniors are getting excited for what we’re going to do after graduation. Some of my my friends have been accepted to grad school, other have found nursing jobs, but many of us are still looking. It can be stressful, but at the same time it’s pretty exciting. A lot of biology jobs don’t hire early, but want you to start working within a month or so of when the job is posted. So now I’m seeing a lot of job openings come up. My favorite site to look for jobs is conservation jobs boards, it posts opening from across the country and even some international jobs now and then. Today I sat down at perks place, a local coffee shop, and was blue to put in two applications for jobs I’d be happy to have.
