I was born and raised in the Twin Ports area and am the youngest of five kids. I always wait until the last minute to do really important things (bad habit). In my spare time I love to dance and was on the Dance Team here at CSS.

Winter Wonderland

The wind is howling, the snow is flying, and people are bundling up to fight the cold weather. Winter has come. Honestly, I am not too upset about it. I love spending the holidays my family celebrates by the fire with a blanket and some hot cocoa or a chai tea latte. The only thing I don’t like is driving. I am not a bad winter driver, I just don’t like doing it. I never know when the roads are going to turn to ice, or if everyone is paying attention to their surroundings or not. Either way, snow is so pretty, and I especially love how it looks on the pine trees next to Tower hall coming up the drive onto campus, it’s simply beautiful. I do not like the cold, though. This year I am walking from the Cedar apartments, which is actually one of the closer ones, but it’s still a trek compared to last years 20 foot sidewalk journey. In fact, last year there were some days I didn’t have to go outside at all because I took the tunnels. Scholastica should definitely invest in a tunnel system from the apartments to Tower, and the BWC, and I know I am not the first one to say that. I have lived in this area my whole life, though, and I am ready for whatever winter decides to throw my way. I got my boots, jacket, mittens, hat, and scarf… I am ready to go! I know that come February I will be begging for summer to come back, but for now, I am going to look out my window and enjoy it ’cause I definitely don’t have the power to change it!
