    Alexa's Bio:
I was born and raised in the Twin Ports area and am the youngest of five kids. I always wait until the last minute to do really important things (bad habit). In my spare time I love to dance and was on the Dance Team here at CSS.

Student Employee Appreciation Week

This week all of the departments that employ students are showing their thanks for their student employees. The Admissions Department in particular brings food every day of the week to show their appreciation. All the student employees at the school get 30% in the Saints Shop, a free pop from Storms, and free professional headshots for our LinkedIn or other professional profile. Working on campus has several perks: it’s convenient, flexible, and very fun. I especially love that I don’t need to “take time off” for days we don’t have school in session – but we are usually given the option to work, as long as the College isn’t closed.

Each year a select group of students are nominated to be Student Employee of the Year, and I was one of them. I also was one of the finalists! While I didn’t win, it was an honor to have been nominated and chosen as a finalist… plus, it’s a great resume booster! I’m sad this is my last semester as a student Employee, but very appreciative of the years I have had here!
