Saturday Visit Day

During the summer, we have three Saturday visit days, and all of us campus representatives that work in the admissions office are required to work one of these Saturdays so we can give a tour to the visiting families. I am here right now, and it is really weird to see the halls so quiet and empty! It’s also really weird to be working on a Saturday. I will be here for just a little over two hours. We checked everyone in, and now we are waiting for the admissions meeting, and then we will give them a tour and be able to go home! I would always recommend for a student to visit during the school year so then they can get a true feel for what it’s like to be a student on campus, but I know that people are busy with work and school during the week, so these Saturday visit days are pretty nice for those folks. Because I am working on a Saturday, I get to leave two hours earlier one day next week, and I will never have to work another Saturday this summer! Tonight, I am going to the Tavern on the Hill for my sister’s birthday. This is one of my favorite restaurants because the prices are reasonable, and both the food and atmosphere is great. Plus, it’s just down the road from my house, so I might even walk there being that it is a beautiful Duluth day!
