I was born and raised in the Twin Ports area and am the youngest of five kids. I always wait until the last minute to do really important things (bad habit). In my spare time I love to dance and was on the Dance Team here at CSS.

Last Week of Dance Team

All year long I have had the benefit of going to DT practice several times throughout the week. It was nice to have the interruption, be around friends, and get some exercise doing what I love. Unfortunately, after our three performances on Friday and Saturday at the basketball games, we are done for the entire rest of the school year! I have made such great friends on the dance team; that’s even where I met my very best friend here! It’s always a bummer when the season ends, and I wish this wasn’t the last week of practice, but it’ll resume again this summer and I’ll be able to do it all over again! Luckily we will be having a really fun time this week because we are learning the annual Guy-Girl dance which is where each girl needs to find a guy that will be willing to dance with her at halftime! Our theme is Hawaiian and the song is pretty hilarious. We will be dancing our hip-hop dance on Friday during the boys halftime and Saturday during the girls halftime. Then during the boys game on Saturday we will be performing the Guy-Girl dance and that is something you definitely don’t want to miss! I’m really thankful to have had the opportunity to experience a college dance team and I can’t wait to do it again next year!
